Synopsis
HKDI Logo
Hong Kong Design Institute
The Logo reflects the coming together of the Design, Fashion, Textile, Printing and Digital Media to form the Hong Kong Design Institute.
To emphasise the creative aspects and the diversity of the institute, the letter forms in the logo were integrated to become part of each other representing the whole.
The dot of the I plays the role of holding all the parts together and
symbolizes totality. The colour scheme was to represent the freshness of ideas in the institute and nurture the growth of new talent.
The logo can easily be adapted into other pastel shades to represent each department under the Institute.
This logo was one of the contendors for the HKDI logo competition.
